Huggy Belt

About a month ago a girl I went to school with contacted me asking if I would like to collaborate with her on making a promotional animation for he dads friends new product called the Huggy Belt. I seatbelt attachment that improves child safety in the car. I thought why not and agreed.

After meeting with Alex the creator of the product, he told us that he wanted a series of characters that were all to be part of the "Huggy Buggy Crew", a group of kids who all go on adventures in their different cars, all wearing their Huggy Belts as they go. The idea was to try and get kids to want to wear the Huggy Belt through liking these characters. there would be competitions held to decide on what adventure the Huggy Belt Crew could go on. Hopefully racking up media attention and more sales for the belt. Alex told us all of the characters he wanted and from there we started on some sketches.

This project is only in very very early stages so I don't have much to show yet but I am very excited to get started.

So we decided that a digital graphicy look would be best for the characters, Lauren did the character profiles for all of them and then I began digitising them. I presented 2 options and Alex chose the second one.

I've had to postpone working on this project to be able to get other project work done. I should be starting on the animation in May.
