National Museum Film

Through correspondence from my coordinater from Drawn to Life I recieved an email asking me to make an animation for the "Magic Carpet Events" at the national Museum of Scotland. which are story telling events in which a large carpet is taken around the museum for children to sit on and listen to stories and songs about the various exhibitions in the museum.

After meeting up we figured out a loose idea of what she wanted. I came up with a few design concepts of what the animation could look like that she could choose from.

She liked the 3rd one.

After a while I met up again to discuss a more clear idea on what we could make. Seuve decided she wanted to have different foreign songs in the film. I suggested that the magic carpet could fly around the museum and make different things come to life relating to each song. She liked this idea and so I began to work on a story board and some design concepts.

After showing the concepts I created a small story board to suggest what we could do with the songs and carpet.

I then put together a few more illustrations for a book she was making to go with the film anf also began working on the cover. The book is called magic carpet world.

here is what I worked on for the poster

Finished film
