The drawing week was pretty god but there were a few days I had appointments but I tried to make up for it by drawing my commute and even getting a few cheeky wee drawings of Glasgow and Airdrie. I was quite happy with some of my drawings. Although the one thing I hate drawing is buildings and Edinburgh is full of them, I did force myself o try and draw them and some of them do look rather effective. I think my issue with buildings is that they contain an abundance of straight lines and I have a very shaky hand when I draw. But I just decided to make wobbly buildings and the results weren't too bad.
After that I had a meeting So I couldn't go to the review of the images but my group chose my drawings for me. when I got back we agreed on an idea to go through Edinburgh and have our drawings come to life. We would use pixelation to make this journey. I did most of the photo taking on our journey of Edinburgh.
After we had the footage all we had to do was animate our sequences, I ended up animating a squirrel popping out of trees.
This was the animation I created, I later super imposed a tree behind him and reversed the footage so we went back into the tree
Grant edited most of the drawings onto the sketchbooks while I edited the sequences to sound. Unfortunately the edit came out with very quiet sound. Also unfortunately my hardrive on my laptop packed in and I lost all of the work after the crit. I later luckily managed to get my animation footage from Grant but the premiere edit was still gone. Being caught up in other projects none of use really wanted to edit the whole video all over again and so we don't really have anything to show other that the final video with very quiet sound. I was quite happy with this film in the end if the sound would have been better. Although if you listen with headphones you get a much better effect
