Week 1
So this was my first week of life drawing, I hadn't done it in about 4 to 5 months so as you can see I was a bit rusty. I quite enjoyed the charcoal method, Did forget some of my proportion techniques I had learned at Cardonald but I have remembered them now and think I've improved since then.
Week 2
so for this week we were to draw on dark paper and focus on light and tone. I really enjoyed this week, Proportions have improved but they're definitely not perfect yet.
Week 3
so this week I decided to get the watercolours and ink out. I put down large blocks of colour and then drew in the line with ink and a kebab stick. working in this way tends to make you lose alot of control over what you are drawing resulting in a very expressive outcome. My tutor said this technique worked well though so I was pretty chuffed
Week 4
So this week I totally forgot I had life drawing (eejit). I didn't have time to buy materials so I just ended up using some cartridge paper and felt tip pens I had in my bag. I wasn't really in my usual drawing mood so came out with a few dodgy looking images but some of them I don't mind. Using the felt tip kind of put me out of my comfort zone, its always great to challenge yourself so I think it was a good learning curve.
If you've got to the end of this extensive post ( by that I mean reading it and not just scrolling to the end) then well done! I salute you for your interest.
Until next time!
